Lamp Post Group Announces Tech Series for Women

We are excited to announce that we are launching our next courses for our Tech Series for Women. The series is designed to provide a positive pathway for more women to enter the tech sector—we’re firm believers that diversity is a huge benefit for companies and industries that embrace it. That’s why we are making intentional, committed efforts to broaden the scope of who is helping us build great companies right here in Chattanooga. So, next month, we are launching two courses focused on foundational elements of HTML/CSS and iOS Development respectively.

The HTML/CSS Course will run for six-weeks starting April 6 and will meet every Monday until May 11. The class will be taught by instructor Seun Erinle—she is a designer and a developer for her web-dev shop Grid Principles and is the founder of A.I.R. Labs, an after-school program that teaches students how to code. This class welcomes all experience levels, so no worries if you are just getting started. Tuition for the six-week course is $75.

The iOS Development Course will also run for six-weeks and will begin on Wednesday, April 8. It will be taught by Cory Wiles, a freelance iOS developer and all-around great guy. He writes, edits, and codes all sorts of awesome stuff in Swift and Objective-C. He’s also the father of some pretty adorable children and is perpetually cleaning up after their less-adorable messes. This class welcomes all experience levels, so no worries if you are just getting started. Tuition for the six-week course is $100.
